1. About NTVU
Founded in 1973, Nantong Vocational University (NTVU) is one of the earliest higher vocational institutions accredited by Jiangsu Provincial Government and Ministry of Education. NTVU is located in Nantong, Jiangsu, a city (a prefecture level city) lies along the Yangtze River at the mouth of the Yellow Sea in east China and Nantong is considered the cradle of modern education in China.
NTVU covers an area of over 667,000 square meters with an enrollment of over 20,000 in 2021, and it owns over 800 staff and faculty members. NTVU is listed as one of China National High Level Higher Vocational Institutions.
NTVU consist of 10 schools, which are: School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electronics and Information Engineering, School of Pharmaceutical and Environmental Engineering, School of Construction Engineering, School of Automobile and Transportation, School of Economic Management (Business and Finance), School of Arts and Design, School of International Cooperation and Education (School of Foreign Languages), School of Technicians and School of Continuing Education.

3. General Information about International Students’ Application in NTVU
A. Basic Qualification
Over 16 year’s old, high school graduate or above, non-Chinese citizen, and in good health, with a certificate of HSK4 or English test certificate (only for EFL candidates, and if your native language or second language is English, you don’t have to provide a language proficiency test certificate).
B. Application Documents
1. Application Form for International Students of Nantong Vocational University (with the applicant’s signature).
2. A photocopy of valid passport (pages with photo).
3. Senior high school graduation certificate. If the certificate is not in Chinese or English, the original notarized and translated versions must be submitted.
* The certificate should be notarized by local Chinese Embassy or local Chinese Consulates (or foreign embassies or consulates in China).
Certificate of expected graduation issued by senior high school (for applicants who will be graduating from senior high school before July only). Senior high school diploma is required to be verified and notarized documents must be submitted at the registration.
4. Original or notarized transcript of senior high school. If the transcript are not in Chinese or English, the original notarized translated versions must be submitted.
* The transcript should be notarized by local Chinese Embassy or local Chinese Consulates (or foreign embassies or consulates in China).
5. Other auxiliary supporting materials (such as award certificates, foreign entrance examination transcripts, university admission notice, etc.)
* In addition to the above application materials, the university may require applicant to provide supplementary materials, depending on the circumstances. All the application materials are nonreturnable.
C. Expenses
Tuition: RMB 4700-6800 per year
Housing: RMB 500-1200 per year (Four students share one bedroom.)
Books and other fee: about RMB 300-800 per year (Would be deducted according to the real spending)
Annual living expenses
D. Scholarship
Students who have passed all courses with the average score over 80 and haven’t be disciplined for violating the rules and stipulations will be awarded the scholarships, and their tuition and housing fee would be refunded. Students who have passed all courses with the average score over 70 and haven’t be disciplined for violating the rules and stipulations will be awarded the scholarships, and half of their tuition and all of their housing fee would be refunded.
