In recent days, several national, provincial and municipal media reported international student’s education in Nantong Vocational University, such as People.cn, China Daily, Yangtse Evening News, thepaper.cn, Netease.com, Baidu, Nantong TV, Jianghai Evening News, etc. They reported from different angles about the story of Gabriel, an international student from the School of International Cooperation & Education in NTVU, who is popular on Douyin (short video website). Gabriel's Chinese name is Ma Jin, and the net name is "Lao Ma", who is an “online celebrity” with 2.8 million fans on Douyin.

Guided by the educational philosophy of “to lay a solid foundation, to spread culture, to promote communication, and to enhance capability”, NTVU carries out language teaching with Chinese culture as the carrier, and promotes language learning by means of Sino-Foreign exchanges in the international student’s education, thus reaches abundant achievements. Foreign students studying in NTVU can not only learn professional knowledge in fluent Chinese, but also build a friendship bridge that improves the communication between Chinese and foreigners.

Recently, many other student activities held by NTVU have also been widely reported by the provincial and municipal media, such as Spring Festival Party for foreign students, school-wide donation for a student in SICE, who is critically ill with carbon monoxide poisoning, and international students’ “learn-from-Lei Feng” volunteer activity.
