A Delegation from the Athlone Institute of Technology Came to Visit NTVU

On October 31, Mr. Meng Jing, Director of Asia Pacific of Athlone Institute of Technology, visited our school. Qiang Yi, secretary of the Party Committee, and the guest had a talk in The Jiangsu Office of Athlone Institute of Technology. Qiang gave full recognition to the cooperation between the two schools, and hoped that both sides could make concerted efforts to make further progress.

Vice President Dai Shiming, together with the principal leaders of School of International Cooperation and Education, met with Mr. Meng Jing and his delegation in the conference room 1210, the main building. Mr. Meng Jing introduced the learning and living conditions of the three students who have studied in Athlon Institute of Technology in Ireland. Manager Qin Jianting elaborated on the overall operation of the project of promoting the academic qualifications of students in cooperation between the two schools, and elaborated on the work of Athlone Institute of Technology in the whole cooperative project. Vice President Dai Shiming highly praised the strong support of Athlone Institute of Technology for this project, and hoped that more students of Athlone Institute of Technology could enjoy high-quality educational resources through this school-school cooperation platform, and realize the dream of upgrading to senior high school and master high school.

Founded in 1970, The Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), one of Ireland's 21 national institutions of higher learning and the only university in central Ireland, has been awarded the Sunday Times Polytechnic of the Year 2018. It is the second international and the first Irish higher education organization to receive APS accreditation. The college currently has about 6,000 full-time students and 2,000 part-time students. The college offers a variety of undergraduate, master and doctoral programs. Our school started cooperation with the school in 2017, and several students are currently studying at the school.
