Professor Chris Zirkle, From Ohio State University, USA, was Invited to NTVU for Visiting

On the morning of December 12, Professor Chris Zirkle of Ohio State University was invited to the school to have a special exchange on "The Status of Vocational Education and The Study of American Vocational Education". President Ma Chengrong, Vice President Dai Shiming, deans of various colleges and key teachers attended the meeting.

Professor Chris Zirkle is the academic leader in workforce Development and education at the School of Education and Human Ecology at Ohio State University, which has ranked no. 1 among graduate programs in vocational and Technical education in the United States for many years. Professor Chris Zirkle first introduced the historical background, development goals, and the position of American vocational education in the entire American education system, as well as the six basic fields of American vocational education. On the basis of comparing with academic education, this paper expounds the unique characteristics and research categories of American vocational education, and puts forward its own unique views on the challenges existing in current vocational education and the solutions. At last, Professor Chris Zirkle interacted with the teachers and made in-depth answers and discussions on teacher assessment, school-enterprise cooperation, apprenticeship development, differences in virtue vocational education and other questions raised by the teachers.
