Vice President Dai Shiming Inspected the Online Learning of International Students

In order to implement the requirements of “No class and continue teaching and learning” effectively and ensure the quality of education and teaching for international students during the period of epidemic prevention and control, Dai Shiming, Vice President, visited International Student Dormitory and inspected the online learning of international students on the morning of March 3, was accompanied by some relevant persons in charge of the Academic Affairs Office, the Quality Assessment Center and School of International Cooperation & Education.

In order to reduce the impact of the epidemic on the education of international students, NTVU has strengthened the management of international students on campus and formulated a detailed online teaching scheme. Teachers should be familiar with the use of online teaching interactive platform in advance, and carefully produce online teaching resources to make full preparation for online teaching. In the process of teaching implementation, teachers adopt the method of live online teaching, actively interact with students in class, release learning tasks after class, and carry out online counseling and Q & A work to ensure that the teaching quality is not discounted.

During the period of epidemic prevention and control, international students have been implemented closed management, and students participated in various online teaching activities in the dormitory according to the schedule. In their spare time, international students actively carry out fitness exercises to maintain a good physical and mental state.

During the inspection visit, Vice President Dai Shiming had a cordial conversation with the overseas students, carefully inquired about their learning and living conditions, and told them that they should not be suspended from classes. During the epidemic period, they should do a good job in self-management and arrange their study and life well.

The overseas students expressed their great satisfaction with the online teaching organized by NTVU during the epidemic period. They said that they would seriously abide by the regulations on epidemic prevention and control in NTVU, and would like to work together with the Chinese to overcome the difficulties, and wish China an early victory over the epidemic.
